FOX News Channel (FNC) has re-signed Martha MacCallum to a multi-year deal where she will continue as the co-anchor of America’s Newsroom, announced Roger Ailes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FOX News.

In making the announcement, Ailes said, “Martha brings unique enthusiasm and talent to delivering the news and connects incredibly well with our viewers. We look forward to her continuing to play a valuable role in the network’s success.”

Since 2010, MacCallum has co-anchored America’s Newsroom (9-11 AM/ET) alongside Bill Hemmer. The two-hour weekday news program averages nearly 1.5 million total viewers, beating both CNN and MSNBC combined during that timeslot, according to Nielsen Media Research.

She has covered major international and national stories including the Royal Wedding, Hurricane Katrina and the funeral of Pope John Paul II. Her wide-ranging interviews include General David Petraeus, President Obama strategist David Axelrod, Senator John McCain and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Prior to her current role on America’s Newsroom, MacCallum anchored FNC’s weekday news programs The Live Desk from 2006 to 2010 and FOX News Live from 2004 to 2006. Before joining FNC, MacCallum served a variety of positions at NBC from 1997 to 2003, including co-anchor of CNBC’s Morning Call with Martha MacCallum and Ted David and anchor of CNBC’s Checkpoint.
