FOX News Digital Dominates CNN in Total Viewers and Minutes for March 2019 

FNC’s Mobile App Scores Fourth Consecutive Monthly Win over CNN’s Mobile App in Unique Visitors 

Network Continues Reign as Most Engaged News Brand on Social Media

NEW YORK – April 15, 2019 — FOX News Digital delivered a platform milestone, marking its strongest quarter in its history among page views (4.6 billion in Q1 2019), according to Comscore. For the first quarter of 2019 among the multi-platform minute category, FOX News Digital bested CNN.com with nearly 11.4 billion minutes spent, compared to CNN.com’s 9.1 billion. FOX News Digital was up 56 percent versus the first quarter of 2018 in multi-platform minutes while CNN.com only increased 11 percent.

For the month of March, FOX News Digital also dominated the landscape in multiple categories. FOX News Digital achieved 104.6 million in monthly unique visitors, in addition to surpassing CNN.com for the second consecutive month with 1.6 billion total views. Additionally, March marks the third consecutive month that FOX News Digital surpassed 100 million multi-platform uniques, as well as the sixth month in a row of exceeding CNN.com in minutes spent. For the fourth month in a row, the Fox News Mobile App also surpassed the CNN Mobile App in Unique Visitors, with 7.5 million versus 6.9 million.***

In March, FOX News Digital also outperformed others in the competitive space in monthly unique visitors, including NYTimes.com (98.6 million), WashingtonPost.com (86.6 million) and NBCNews.com (78 million).*

In the competitive set, FOX News was the number one most engaged news brand on social media in Q1 2019 with 139 Million interactions (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), up seven percent versus Q4 2018, according to Socialbakers and Shareablee. This marks the 19th consecutive quarter that FOX News has been number one in total social interactions, accounting for 31 percent of all social interactions in the first quarter of 2019. Additionally, FOX News drove 50 percent more interactions than the cable news competition (CNN+MSNBC) combined in Q1 2019. FOX News Facebook interactions were up 15 percent this quarter versus Q1 2018 and FOX News Instagram interactions were up 27 percent this quarter versus the prior year.
