FOX NEWS MEDIA RE-SIGNS MARIA BARTIROMO TO MULTIYEAR DEAL

NEW YORK — September 18, 2019FOX News Media has re-signed Anchor and Global Markets Editor Maria Bartiromo to a new multiyear deal, extending her tenure with FOX Business Network (FBN) and FOX News Channel (FNC), announced Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media.

In making the announcement, Ms. Scott said, “Maria Bartiromo has been a pioneer in business journalism for 30 years. As the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, she has been a change agent throughout her entire career. Her exceptional insights and incredible work ethic have been of tremendous value to FOX Business and FOX News and we’re thrilled to have her continue anchoring each of her stellar programs for many more years to come.”

Joining FOX News Media in 2014, Ms. Bartiromo currently serves as the anchor of FBN’s Mornings with Maria (weekdays, 6-9 AM/ET) and Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street (Fridays, 9-9:30 PM/ET), as well as FNC’s Sunday Morning Futures (Sundays, 10-11 AM/ET). Throughout her tenure with the networks, she has provided critical analysis of the issues impacting viewers and their money, while featuring hard-hitting interviews with both economic and political titans. She has also consistently led coverage of the political economy and analysis of major stories, including the 2016 market reaction to the presidential election and the origins of the Mueller Report.

Ms. Bartiromo’s signature pre-market program Mornings with Maria marked its first yearly win over CNBC’s Squawk Box in total viewers in 2018 and has remained one of the most affluent programs on cable, according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, her FNC program Sunday Morning Futures routinely ranks as the highest rated show on Sundays in cable news.

In November 2015, Ms. Bartiromo notably co-moderated the network’s inaugural Republican presidential primary debate with FNC and FBN Managing Editor, SVP and Anchor Neil Cavuto. According to Nielsen Media Research, the debate delivered 13.5 million total viewers and 3.7 million in the key 25-54 demo, notching the highest-rated program in FBN’s history. In January 2016, Ms. Bartiromo reprised her co-moderator role, delivering 11 million total viewers with 3 million in the key 25-54 demo, making it the second highest-rated program in network history, according to Nielsen Media Research.

More recently, Ms. Bartiromo has also led the network’s coverage of major industry conferences including the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France and the Annual JPMorgan Healthcare Conference, while also making regular contributions across FOX News programming to discuss breaking market and financial news.
