FOX NEWS CHANNEL TO DEBUT AMERICA CHEERS TOGETHER SHOWCASING PROFESSIONAL SPORTS AS A UNIFYING FORCE

NEW YORK – May 7, 2020 – FOX News Channel (FNC) will debut a new, reoccurring segment as a part of the network’s America Together initiative entitled America Cheers Together, showcasing the unified and resilient American spirit through the lens of professional sporting events. Led by America’s Newsroom anchor Ed Henry, this ongoing series will launch today during the network’s three hour morning news offering and spotlight how sports have helped guide the country through times of tragedy and triumph.

In the first installment, FNC contributor and sportscaster Jim Gray will join Henry to discuss the NFL’s plans to start the 2020 season in September and how the move will help bring a sense of normalcy back to the American public. The two will also dissect how all professional sports leagues, including baseball, hockey and basketball, plan to ensure the safety of their players and what fans can expect as we start to see play resume. Future segments will feature professional athletes, sportscasters and other guests across a variety of fields.

The America Together cross-platform editorial series debuted on March 30th and features uplifting stories of volunteerism, charitable efforts and everyday heroism amidst the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. Appearing across all of FOX News Media platforms, America Together content can also be found on FOXNews.com.
