“FOX & Friends Weekend” to Emanate from the United States Military Academy at West Point

Independence Day Primetime Special Helmed by Various FNC Personalities to Feature Stories of American Patriotism and Heroism

NEW YORK – June 23, 2022 – FOX News Media will present its signature Proud American (#ProudAmerican) franchise series with a slate of patriotic-inspired programming, beginning on Friday, July 1st and running through Monday, July 4th to celebrate America’s independence. Throughout the holiday weekend, FOX News personalities will feature live Proud American segments from major cities across the country, including Boston, Washington, D.C., New York City and Los Angeles.

FOX News Channel’s signature weekend morning staple FOX & Friends Weekend will emanate live from United States Military Academy at West Point on Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd from 6-10 AM/ET. Co-hosts Pete Hegseth, Rachel Campos-Duffy and Will Cain will feature West Point’s iconic Independence Day celebrations, including patriotic music from the West Point band, as well as interviews with cadets and attendees on what it means to be an American.

On Sunday evening at 9 PM/ET, FNC will air a special originating from West Point entitled, A West Point Independence Day Celebration. Headlined by Army Veteran Hegseth, Campos-Duffy, and Cain, the one-hour program will highlight the values West Point instills in our service members. The special will also include performances from the West Point band and conclude with the academy’s annual fireworks celebration. Military Veteran and FOX News contributor Johnny Joey Jones will also join the special coverage, interviewing Medal of Honor recipients, West Point personnel and families in the crowd.

For the main event on July 4th, FNC will air a two-hour primetime special entitled, FOX News Presents: An Independence Day Celebration. The live programming airing from 8-10 PM/ET will feature Cross Country’s Lawrence Jones, Johnny Joey Jones, FOX & Friends FIRST’s Carley Shimkus and Outnumbered co-host Kayleigh McEnany. Each host will present themed packages commemorating Independence Day as well as highlight real stories of patriotism and triumph from across the country. The special will also include musical performances from Lee Greenwood, Chris Janson and Kameron Marlowe. Additionally on Independence Day, FNC will air live fireworks displays emanating from the nation’s capital.

Throughout the weekend, FOX Nation’s travel and lifestyle host Abby Hornacek will be live in Boston from Boston Harborfest, where the city is marking the 246th Independence Day celebration and highlighting the city’s maritime and revolutionary history. Additionally, FOX News Radio host Jimmy Failla will contribute to the coverage with interviews from the famed Santa Monica pier in Los Angeles.

FOX News Audio will also present special coverage of the holiday, featuring original programs to be offered across its syndicated stations and digital audio platforms, including FOX Across America’s July 4th Radio BBQ Bash, The FOX News Rundown’s Democracy 2022: The Battle for the Majority and Warrior Ranch: A FOX News Audio Special. Additionally, FOX News Radio will offer a special entitled Our Freedoms to affiliates, which is a six-part audio series looking at this great nation’s freedoms.

FOX Weather will present Proud American: FOX Weather Salutes to keep viewers prepared for long weekend travels and outdoor celebrations. The “FAST” weather service will feature special beach, parade and barbeque forecasts to provide updates ahead of patriotic celebrations throughout the weekend. Meteorologist Rick Reichmuth will be giving forecasts live from West Point.
