FOX NEWS BOOKS TO DEBUT “UNDER HIS WINGS” BY EMILY COMPAGNO

NEW YORK – November 26, 2024 – FOX News Books, the publishing imprint for FOX News Media, will release its 13th title, “Under His Wings: How Faith on the Front Lines Has Protected American Troops,” by Outnumbered co-host Emily Compagno on November 26th. In her debut book, Compagno explores the intimate stories of the honorable service members who found their faith while on the frontlines. In conjunction, FOX Nation will release a corresponding “Under His Wings” special hosted by Compagno on Tuesday, December 3rd.

In commenting on the book, Compagno said, “It has been my utmost honor to serve as a messenger for the profound stories of the warriors within this very special book. These American heroes remind us how multifaceted service is; how honorable and exceptional our warriors are; and how utterly and selflessly they – and their families – fulfill duty. Their breathtaking accounts remind us how simple and magnificent God’s love is for us – and of the only Savior that can lighten the heavy burdens warfighters carry.”

“Under His Wings” highlights the extraordinary stories of American war heroes who describe how their profound faith in God changed their lives, during and after their time on the battlefield. From World War I to the current conflicts in the Middle East, the book blends the historical with the personal, featuring first-hand accounts from veterans and their families, including Save Our Allies co-founder Sarah Verardo and former Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA). With the help of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, Ohio, Compagno explores the stories of soldiers from all generations and levels of combat, including Gold Star families navigating the wake of the ultimate sacrifice.

As the daughter of a commander in the US Navy, Compagno comes from a long line of highly decorated veterans. In “Under His Wings,” she shares the story of her great-great Aunt Lieutenant Luella Lorenz Cochran Davis, whose letters as a WWII US Army nurse illustrate how her faith helped her dedication in service through the battles of war. Additionally, she shares her own experience as an Oakland Raiders cheerleader visiting troops in Iraq and Kuwait on a United Service Organizations (USO) tour with the goal of boosting soldier morale on the frontlines.

Compagno joined FOX News in 2018 as a contributor and currently serves as the co-host of Outnumbered and the host of FOX News Audio’s The FOX True Crime Podcast with Emily Compagno. Additionally, she is a former attorney and started practicing law in 2006. Previously, she served as a federal managing attorney and Acting Director at the Social Security Administration. During her time as a political science student at the University of Washington, she was awarded the US Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps’ Cadet of the Quarter Award.

Since the launch of FOX News Books in 2020, the imprint has sold nearly 3 million copies across its previous 12 titles. In addition to Compagno’s forthcoming book, the imprint has published Pete Hegseth’s “Modern Warriors: Real Stories from Real Heroes” (November 2020), Shannon Bream’s trilogy; “The Women of the Bible Speak” (March 2021), “The Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak” (March 2022), and “The Love Stories of the Bible Speak” (March 2023), along with “All American Christmas” by Rachel Campos-Duffy and Sean Duffy (November 2021), “Faith Still Moves Mountains” by Harris Faulkner (October 2022), Johnny Joey Jones’ “Unbroken Bonds of Battle” (June 2023), Carley Shimkus’ “Cooking with Friends” (October 2023), Jimmy Failla’s “Cancel Culture Dictionary” (January 2024), Dr. Nicole Saphier’s “Love, Mom” (April 2024), “The War on Warriors” (June 2024) by former FOX News host Pete Hegseth, and most recently, Trey Yingst’s “Black Saturday” (October 2024).
