FOX News Drives Over One Billion Social Media Video Views for First Time in History in a Month
FOX News Digital Leads CNN with Total Digital Multiplatform Unique Visitors in January
NEW YORK – February 19, 2025 – FOX News finished January with over 121 million total digital unique multiplatform visitors, its third highest month in history topping news brands including CNN, according to Comscore.* Additionally, FOX News Digital continued to lead all news brands with both multiplatform views and minutes. For the month, FOX News Digital secured 4.6 billion total multiplatform minutes (up 40% over January 2024), 2.2 billion total multiplatform views (up 30% over January 2024) and 121.8 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors (up 11% over January 2024).* This marked FOX News Digital’s best month with multiplatform minutes since November 2020. FOX News also registered a historic month on YouTube, more than doubling its closest competitor and surpassed one billion social media video views for the first time ever. Comparatively, CNN saw declines across the board compared to January 2024 with multiplatform views (down 1% vs. January 2024) and multiplatform minutes (down 14% vs. January 2024) and total digital unique multiplatform visitors (down 1% vs. January 2024). - FOX News once again finished January 2025 as the top news brand on YouTube with 410 million video views leading the nearest competitor NBC News by 145%, according to Emplifi.**** FOX News has now solidified itself as the top news brand on YouTube marking the third consecutive month at number one in the news competitive set and its second-best month on YouTube ever. Notably, FOX News led NBC News by 242 million views during January, the widest gap the network has seen over the competition in history. Compared to December 2024, FOX News saw an increase of 74% with YouTube video views and led competitors including MSNBC (153 million views), ABC News (140 million views), CNN (137 million views), CBS News (62 million views) and The New York Times (7 million views).
- The FOX News Mobile App reached 6.9 million unique visitors in January.**
- FOX News was once again the most engaged brand on social media in the competitive set in January, with 61 million total social interactions, up 171% from the year prior, according to Emplifi. FOX News drove 21.4 million interactions on Facebook, 34 million Instagram interactions and 5 million X interactions. Additionally, FOX News drove 29.6 million interactions on TikTok, up 123% versus the previous month. FOX Business drove 1.5 million social media interactions during January.
- Notably, FOX News drove over one billion social video views for the first time ever across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X combined, according to Emplifi.
- FOXBusiness.com drove 160 million multiplatform views in January, surpassing CNN Business for the 34th straight month and Bloomberg.com for the 45th consecutive month. Additionally, the business site delivered 254 million multiplatform minutes and 23 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors.***
