Digital Meteorologists Katie Garner and Kelly Costa to Lead Coverage from the Bureau

NEW YORK – February 24, 2022 – FOX Weather, FOX News Media’s ad-supported streaming television (“FAST”) weather service, will expand its footprint, opening an Orlando bureau which will house the new FOX Weather Center, announced Sharri Berg, president of the service. Emanating from FOX Television Station’s (FTS) owned and operated WOFL-TV in Orlando, Florida, the bureau will include a state-of-the-art production studio to lead breaking news coverage of tropical storms as well as provide live programming, weather updates and forecasting, spearheaded by digital meteorologists Katie Garner and Kelly Costa.

In making the announcement, Berg said, “As we continue to build FOX Weather into a premier service, we felt it was imperative to have the FOX Weather Center in Florida, enabling us to cover tropical storms and severe weather systems impacting the eastern seaboard. FOX35 Orlando has been a leader in forecasting and this new bureau ensures our service will be well positioned to cover hurricane season 2022 and beyond.”

The FOX Weather Center brings enhanced access to FOX’s Central Florida Doppler radar systems along with dedicated field teams featuring years of experience in covering breaking meteorological news.
